My third hobby app. A smart vocabulary app for developers

Overview

Lexicode is an iPhone-first learning product designed for software engineers and CS learners who want to build real vocabulary depth without turning study into homework. It combines a carefully curated 1,500-term library, personalized feed selection, timed reminders, and a widget-based daily learning loop so the app fits into the rhythm of real work instead of feeling like a generic flashcard app.

The project spans the iOS app, the widget system, the admin publishing workflow, and a release-safe content pipeline. A user learns terms by level and specialisation, saves favorites, reviews due material, and receives context-rich explanations in multiple styles, while the content team can publish updates through a structured admin flow with validation, review, and manifest-based bundle sync. The architecture is built around local-first resilience, optional iCloud sync, App Store subscription gates, and a bundle system that upgrades content safely without breaking the app.
